The Agility Factor & Organizational Change

Please join Pat Gary for a presentation on the results of interviews with over 100 business men and women regarding personal agility in the workplace.  The Agility Factor is a set of key characteristics that are common to highly agile professionals which gives them the ability to manage change as an advantageous rather than disruptive event.  The Agility Factor is compared with a brief case study of a major corporate change management event to demonstrate how personal agility impacts organizational change.

ASTD members will better understand personal agility and how it impacts organizational change.  It will help ASTD members identify highly agile individuals in their organization and demonstrate how they can be used to leverage successful change management.

Pat Garey is the Talent Management Manager at The Doe Run Company, a mining and metals company headquartered in St. Louis.  It is her job to help the organization meet its strategic goals by developing an agile and productive workforce. She received a Masters in Management and Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University.Prior to joining Doe Run Pat worked for a number of years an OD Consultant assisting corporations and individuals in managing change.
