KC ASTD Fall Conference - Instructional Design for ELearning

    Keynote: Barbara Carnes, Ph.D.

    Date:

    Tuesday, October 29, 2013

    Location:

Johnson County Community College, Regnier Buiding, RC 175,181,183
    9780 W 87th St, Overland Park, KS 66212

This program will help you develop individualized, asynchronous eLearning experiences. Invigorate your traditional instructional design with fresh eLearning techniques based on examples from organizations who have implemented successful asynchronous virtual training programs. Particular attention is paid to how to create instructional design solutions from scratch. The focus is on skillfully meeting instructional design challenges in any industry, and on applying principles of effective eLearning to individualized models.

Two tracks are offered, fundamental and advanced.

Use this opportunity to network with other learning and performance professionals and meet with vendors to find the right tools to meet your needs.

The fundamental track is designed for practitioners new to asynchronous or non-concurrent eLearning technology but not inexperienced in training and performance; practitioners wanting to brush up on the newest techniques; instructional designers; curriculum builders; learning managers; courseware producers; sales, safety, health care, finance, higher education, and government trainers. If you’re moving from instructor-led training into the world of e-learning, this track is a uniquely valuable place to start.

The advanced track is designed for a multitude of professional backgrounds, but is primarily designed for those who are experienced in training and performance who want to deepen their skills in eLearning instructional design: managers, developers, designers, instructors, and courseware producers.
