Jane Hart Workshop (Thurs Session):

The Modern Workplace Learning Landscape: What it Means for You and Your Organization

Dr. Jane Hart, Founder

The Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies

The role of the L&D function in the modern workplace is more than creating, delivering and managing learning; it is about addressing performance problems in more relevant and appropriate ways, as well as promoting, developing and supporting continuous learning. During the course of this workshop, Jane will help participants to understand how the way we learn at work is fundamentally changing, in large part influenced by the Web, and how organizations at the leading edge are modernizing their approaches to workplace learning.

Jane will take you on a tour of new learning initiatives and emerging trends that are taking place in the workplace today, and offer practical and pragmatic advice on how they can be implemented. Using her Modern Workplace Learning Landscape model as a guide, this workshop will cover topics including:

  • The need to move beyond e-learning
  • New content strategies
  • Social strategies
  • Personal learning strategy

Bring your laptop or tablet as the workshop will be highly participative.

The objective of this workshop is to assist you in finding your way on the new frontier of workplace learning, and in planning the way forward for yourself, your L&D team, and the organization(s) you support.

As part of the workshop, attendees will receive a downloadable copy of Jane’s e-book Beyond E-Learning: A Guide to the Modern Workplace Learning Landscape.

Continental breakfast and a mid-morning break will be provided.
