Strategic Planning: Collaboration Begins with You

In this Strategic Planning presentation, attendees will take a collaboration assessment and discuss how silo thinking, attitudes and behaviors can create breakdowns in communication, teaming, productivity and strategic planning. The UNITE Model of collaboration will be presented on how individuals can take action to be more collaborative through a heart, head and hands model.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn why Collaboration is critical to Strategic Planning
  • Understand how to be a Silo Buster utilizing (3) Collaboration Best Practices to create stronger strategic partnerships
  • Increase understanding on how to be an internal consultant to colleagues
  • Increase self-awareness of silo thinking, attitudes and behaviors, blind spots, and opportunities
  • Increase appreciation of why differences are good and how to leverage them for greater engagement, productivity and effective strategic planning.

Presenter: Sarah McLaughlin, Leadership Development Consultant and Coach

Sarah teaches and coaches sustainable organizational development programs of servant leadership utilizing the combined 150 of research and science from Ken Blanchard's Situational Leadership II, Wiley Everything DiSC Workplace and GALLUP - StrengthFinder. She is a certified facilitator and received her coaching credentials from Gallup's Strengths Coaching Program.

Sarah bridges her experiences as a former professional sailor, healthcare business owner, Executive Coach and Leadership educator to inspire others to think bigger and get results. Sarah conducts leadership training workshops, leads team and manager seminars to develop leaders, leverage individual and team strengths, build partnerships, resolve conflicts, maximize performance and increase engagement levels. She works with executive entrepreneurs, managers, high potential team members, in all sectors, industries, and disciplines.

Sarah earned a BS from Central Michigan University and graduate studies in Leadership Development from Saint Louis University. She currently serves as Chief Human Resource Officer for The Audit Group and as a Leadership Development Consultant in the US and internationally.
