Free Event - Facilitators Special Interest Group (SIG)

The purpose of the ATD St Louis Facilitator’s SIG is to create a collaborative environment of sharing best practices, tips and knowledge. The meetings provide a great opportunity to network with other dedicated professionals in our region. Our meetings in 2019 will feature different L&D locations. We will also have one virtual meeting in collaboration with another Facilitator group in another part of the country.

Topic: Training's over... now what?

Agenda:

We live in a fast-paced world. Attention spans are becoming shorter and the ability to retain information is decreasing. Did you know that one hour after training is completed, participants have forgotten approximately 50%of what they learned? What's more astonishing is that, after one week, they have forgotten almost 75% of that information. We, as trainers, can significantly impact that retention of information not only in the way we train, but also through continuous engagement.

This round-table group discussion gives you the opportunity to share current techniques and learn from peers on how to implement or improve the continuous engagement of our participants.

Who Should Attend:

Anyone who is a facilitator of content for workforce talent development is welcome! You do not need to be a member of ATDSTL to attend. Although the event is free, we do need you to register prior to the event so we have visitor badges for everyone.

Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
