Join Us for Lunch!

11:00am – 1:00pm

We’ll start the CPLP® Boot Camp during lunch, where attendees are provided with an overview of the ASTD Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP®) certification program and the ASTD Workplace Learning & Performance (WLP) Competency Model the credential is based on.

Lunch attendees will discover how and why CPLP certification and the competency model are relevant to their work and to the workplace learning & performance profession as a whole.

Lunch attendees will leave with:

  • A clear understanding of the ASTD Competency Model and how CPLP® certification can help "Accidental Trainers" and formally educated learning pros validate their skills against a professional standard.

Can only stay for the luncheon and have to get back? We’ll miss you!

Want more? Stay for the entire program! Register for the CPLP® Boot Camp Workshop!  (Details are below. Additional registration and fees apply, click here to register for the luncheon and workshop)

Stay for the CPLP® Boot Camp Workshop!

1:00pm – 5:30pm

This extended session turns lunch into a full CPLP® Boot Camp Workshop, where we’ll use an accelerated learning approach to allow you to experience what it's like to be a CPLP® candidate preparing for both phases of the credentialing process -- the CPLP® Knowledge Exam and the CPLP® Work Product submission.

You'll receive individual attention and real-world tools that can help you get started with CPLP® certification right away!

Full CPLP® Boot Camp participants will:

  • Outline their own personalized and individualized study & action plans for using the ASTD WLP Competency Model as a roadmap for their professional development and/or CPLP® certification.
  • Explore practical examples of how the CPLP® certification can be used to their competitive advantage.
  • Learn insider tips they can immediately apply to decrease their CPLP® study preparation time.

Who Should Attend

This luncheon and workshop is for the CPLP® curious and CPLP® candidates alike. If you're looking for a way to validate your skills against a professional standard and a way to stand out in a crowd, this is the workshop you've been waiting for!

The Case for Certification

The CPLP® certification program is administered by the American Society for Training and Development Certification Institute (ASTD CI). ASTD CI accredits individuals working in the workplace learning & performance industry.

Certification enhances professional credibility by signaling to current and potential employers that you possess a solid foundation of experience and education as a learning & performance professional. It lets organizations know that you are committed to making a positive impact on their bottom-line results.

CPLP® Certification Highlights

  • Professional Standard: Is recognized as the professional standard for learning & performance by the U.S. Department of Labor.
  • Competitive Advantage: Helps individuals differentiate themselves and stand out in a competitive job market.
  • Ongoing Professional Development: Displays dedication to the profession of learning & performance, ongoing learning, and professional development
  • Mastery: Certification assesses individuals against a professional standard, and successful attainment of CPLP® certification indicates mastery of professional competencies across multiple areas of expertise.
