Join us for a Session on Self-awareness: Leading with Emotional Intelligence

Tri Pham, Dale Carnegie Missouri

Emotionally intelligent professionals and leaders bring both a focus on results and a care for people. With organizations today dealing with rapid change, new technology, and growth in other areas, having leaders who navigate the technical side of business is not enough. Today’s leaders must lead with emotional intelligence to truly engage, retain, and motivate their teams.

Self-awareness is at the heart of emotional intelligence. When we are self-aware, it means we have a strong realization of our personality, including our strengths and weaknesses, our emotions, beliefs, and motivations.

We all have weaknesses we are aware of, and blind spots which represent opportunities for growth of which we are unaware. When we’re unaware of an aspect of our behavior that is problematic for others, it may impede our ability to lead effectively. In this program, we will use a variety of techniques to enhance our self-awareness while gaining insights from fellow participants to help make a positive change to behaviors we wish to see transformed.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the relationship between perspective and self-awareness
Discover open and hidden leadership qualities
Identify the positive impact of self-awareness on your ability to effectively lead
Practice “feedforward” as a tool for personal growth and self-awareness
