(Net)Working the Room – an ASTD STL Members Only Event!

Speaker: Dennis Klemp, Vice President, OutSell Consulting, Inc.

Sometimes it’s not what you know as much as who you know. When it comes to genuinely connecting with others at a company function, social event, or business meeting, it’s all about process.  People who are skilled and effective networkers know that an event is a great time to meet people, get to know them better, and most importantly, it’s a way to set up future conversations and meetings.

Great networkers just don’t wing it. They work a very deliberate and concise process and they work it well.  After attending hundreds of events and interviewing countless people about the finer details of networking, OutSell Consulting has distilled an effective networking process down to key fundamentals that will guide us through any group or individual interaction.

In this session we’ll learn:

  • How to introduce yourself for maximum impact
  • How to create and sustain an engaging 2-way conversation
  • How to create immediate trust and credibility with others
  • How to insure that every event is an “over the top” success for you personally
