The goal of ID Your Brand is for L&D professionals to discover that the same thinking behind effective instructional design — clarity, intentional structure, and iterative refinement — is exactly what makes a logo work, and to apply that insight by hand-sketching a first-iteration logo concept for their own professional brand.
Continental Breakfast and Coffee Included.

Session Description:

ID Your Brand is a hands-on branding lab where Learning and Development professionals explore how the same principles that make a logo clear, memorable, and intuitive can also make learning experiences stronger.

Participants will “Build Brand by Hand” by identifying core design elements, analyzing iconic logos, applying composition principles, and creating a simple L&D brand concept that includes a name, catchphrase, logo direction, font style, and color palette.

Through sketching, discussion, and iteration, learners will see how branding and instructional design both rely on clarity, alignment, simplicity, and repeated refinement—leaving with a practical first draft they can continue developing by hand, digitally, or with AI.
Continental Breakfast and Coffee Included.

Learning Objectives:

Identify basic elements design used in branding an L&D project.

Analyze the elements of design against the principles of composition to make the brand more readable, memorable, and visually appealing.

Apply examples of logos and brand designs to explain how different choices communicate identity, tone, and purpose.

Create a simple Learning and Development brand concept, including a name, catchphrase, logo, font style, and color palette.
