Ten Common Design Issues & How to Fix Them

Years ago building a course meant you had access to instructional experts, graphic designers, and multimedia specialists. Today, many elearning developers have to do everything. And chances are they don’t have formal course design training.

This session will review common course design issues and offer some tips on how to improve them.

Both sessions will be hands on. To keep it simple, we’ll use PowerPoint for both. Participants will need a computer and PowerPoint installed (PPT 2010 is preferred, but not required).

Day 1 Workshop hours: 6 hours, plus 1 hour lunch

Meals (full breakfast, lunch) and beverages are provided

Registration & Breakfast      8:00am -  9:00am

Day 2

Getting Started with Articulate Storyline

Do you want to build more than click-and-read e-learning but don’t have the programming skills to do it? Articulate Storyline® can help. Create highly interactive e-learning with no programming required. The session is designed to be an interactive, hands-on learning experience using Articulate Storyline software.  This  session reviews the core authoring process and introduces key Storyline features.

Day two covers:

Insert various types of content on a slide

     Work with Storyline’s built-in characters

Create and practice using interactive content using Slide Layers, Triggers, and States

     Customize the course player

Publish to Flash, HTML5, and iOS for iPad viewing

Requirements:

This is a beginner level introduction of Articulate Storyline. It’s hands on and requires participants have a computer and installed version of Storyline. The trial version is fine. We’ll also provide additional resources and free templates for use after the session.
